Use the information on this page to request permission to reproduce material from a Floris publication.
We welcome requests to reproduce material from Floris publications. To make a request, please download and fill out a permission request form:
Please note the following:
- It may take at least a month for a response, and sometimes longer if the request is complicated or unusual. Please submit your request well in advance.
- There may be a permission fee due, although we try to be as reasonable as possible.
- We follow the 'fair dealing' guidelines as specified by The Society of Authors. In these cases, permission does not need to be sought:
'The Society usually considers as 'fair dealing' the use of a single extract of up to 400 words or a series of extracts (of which none exceeds 300 words) to a total of 800 words from a prose work, or of extracts to a total of 40 lines from a poem provided that this does not exceed a quarter of the poem. The words must be quoted in the context of ‘criticism or review’ of the work quoted or of another work. No permission need be sought for such usages provided that the title and the author of the work quoted are credited either in the text itself or in an acknowledgements page.'
