Lari Don was born in Chile and grew up in the north east of Scotland. After the birth of her children she took up writing, and has had several short stories published in anthologies and magazines, including winning the Canongate Prize in 2001. She has previously worked for BBC Radio Scotland and is a currently a professional storyteller.
