About the Author(s)

Evelyn Capel was born in 1911 at Stow-on-the-Wold in the Cotswold Hills. She took a degree in history at Somerville College, Oxford, and then studied at the seminar of The Christian Community in Stuttgart. She was ordained in 1939 and has written a number of books including The Making of the Christianity and the Greek Spirit; Festivals in North and South; Growing Up in Religion; The Tenth Hierarchy; The Timeless Storyteller; Birth, Death, In the Midst of Life; Reincarnation within Christianity; and Christian Meditation.
