Floris Books is currently recruiting for the following role:

Junior Designer

Part-time, 12 month initial contract

Edinburgh-based indie publisher Floris Books is recruiting for a part-time (22.5 hours/3 days per week) Junior Designer with an eye for design, page layout, typography and illustration, and a head for project management.

Candidates must be conscientious team players and good communicators but do not need to have had previous experience in children’s/book publishing; a demonstrable interest in publishing will suffice.

The role has a full-time equivalent salary of £27,000, pro-rata at 60%.

Does Floris Books work with freelancers?

Thank you for your interest in Floris. All our key functions – editorial, production, design and marketing – are handled inhouse, so we rarely use freelancers.
