Snowball the cat brings the humans of her apartment building closer together in this charming picture book about urban living, community and multiculturalism with lively, characterful illustrations.

Description

Snowball the cat loves living in a high-rise apartment building where all the residents look after her -- she has 23 homes! Snowball gets her breakfast from Señora Martinez on the first floor, her morning snack from the Howe family on the ninth floor and then curls up for a nice nap in Tarik's workshop in the basement.

Throughout her day, Snowball finds subtle but meaningful ways to help the people living in her building. When Snowball hides a set of car keys, a busy family takes time to enjoy breakfast together. She encourages two schoolboys to begin a new friendship and introduces an old piano teacher to a new student. Though the neighbours might not realise it, their high-rise cat is bringing them together.

This heart-warming story of urban living is a celebration of community, multiculturalism and the magic that our feline friends can bring into our everyday lives.

Author

Oliver Wnuk is an actor and children's writer from Germany. He has appeared in more than 120 film and television productions and has written several books for both adults and children. Oliver divides his time between Berlin and Munich, Germany.

Andrea Stegmaier is an illustrator and architect who turned her passion for children's books into a profession. She is the illustrator of many books including One Christmas in our Building, Time for Bed, Little Owls! and Kalila Is Ready for Rain. When she isn't drawing, Andrea can be found in her little garden or exploring the world with her family. She lives in Stuttgart, Germany.

Christian Maclean has worked in publishing for 50 years. He lives in Edinburgh, UK.
