Johann Sebastian Bach wrote over 400 chorales – hymns tunes arranged in four-parts – and here Steve Bernstein, an experienced Waldorf music teacher, has arranged twenty-five for use in four-part recorder ensembles. Especially suitable for middle-school students (ages 10-13 or Classes 4-6 in the Steiner-Waldorf curriculum), the pieces have been carefully chosen and crafted to remove awkwardly high or low notes, as well as to stretch students who are mastering the recorder.

This book will be an invaluable resource for any music teacher

Steve Bernstein has taught at the Mountain Laurel Waldorf School in New York State for over a decade. He is also the author of Recorder Ensemble: First Collection for Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass.
