Karl K\u00f6nig (1902-66) was well-known as a physician, author and lecturer. He began his work at the Institute of Embryology at the University of Vienna but fled in 1938 after the Nazi annexation of Austria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1940 he founded the Camphill Movement<\/a> in Scotland. Based on the educational ideas of Rudolf Steiner, the special education schools for children and villages for adults with special needs are now established all over Britain and Europe, North America and Southern Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Truth, Beauty, and Goodness,
that is the human being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Truth is a portrait of the eternal ideas of the world
rightfully expressed in the thinking capacity
of the human being. A thought is true if it corresponds
with the essential content of an idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beauty is revealed wherever the eternal ideas
are in harmony with forms, colours,
tones, and words. When the
garment of an idea is so adequate, that
one can experience the idea in reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goodness is to be found where the spiritual content
of the idea starts to melt the forms;
where form yields itself up to the being and
out of that the deed is born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The threefold interplay between the idea
and the work created by the idea,
this is Truth, Beauty and Goodness. That is the human being
In the head, the chest, in limb existence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
