At the beginning of each year, we like to take a moment to look at all the wonderful books we\u2019re proud to be publishing in the coming months. So what new Floris books do we have coming in 2018?<\/p>\n

Board Books<\/h3>\n

This Spring, our new board books celebrate nature and the changing seasons. In January, we bring together Gerda Muller\u2019s much-loved \u2018Seasons\u2019 books in the<\/p>\n

\"2018<\/a><\/p>\n

Seasons Gift Collection<\/a><\/em>. Showcasing the stunning work of Australian artist Sarah Laidlaw, Through the Seasons<\/a><\/em> will also join our range. This bright but delicate board book is wordless, so children and parents can create their own story.<\/p>\n

We complete Daniela Drescher’s seasonal cycle with Pippa and Pelle in the Spring Garden<\/a><\/em>. This beautifully-illustrated story is filled with flourishing flowers and interesting insects.\u00a0\u00a0And we add to another favourite collection – our board books from Loes Botman. In January, we\u2019ll ask Hello Birds, What Do You Say?<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

<\/h3>\n

Picture Books<\/h3>\n

Gerda Muller takes us back to the garden with How Does My Fruit Grow?<\/a><\/em> in January. This bright and detailed picture book\u00a0teaches children all about the fruit we eat, and makes a perfect companion to How Does My Garden Grow?<\/em>\u00a0and A Year in Our New Garden<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Also in January, we\u2019re incredibly excited to publish Charlie\u2019s Magical Carnival<\/a><\/em> from celebrated author and illustrator Marit T\u00f6rnqvist. In this vibrant and adventurous picture book, you can enter the world of Charlie\u2019s imagination – unfold the magic with fold-out pages full of surprises!<\/p>\n

Our final children\u2019s book for Spring is a very special bedtime story. Bear Child<\/a><\/em> is the warm and ethereal story of the bear folk, special beings who can choose to take bear or human form. Geoff Mead\u2019s modern folktale combines with Sanne Dufft\u2019s inspiring illustrations to create a story full of love and warmth.<\/p>\n

<\/h3>\n

The Christian Community<\/h3>\n

In 2018, we\u2019ll also add a host of new Floris Books non-fiction titles to our collection.<\/p>\n

Early in the Spring, we\u2019ll publish two key explorations of thought in The Christian Community. Freidrich Rittelmeyer\u2019s Reincarnation: A Christian Perspective<\/a><\/em> (January) engages with a concept rarely considered in Western religion. And Peter Selg explores the close but often contradictory relationship between\u00a0Rudolf Steiner and The Christian Community<\/a><\/em> (March).<\/p>\n

<\/h3>\n

Steiner-Waldorf Education<\/h3>\n

\"New<\/a>
\nLater in the Spring, we\u2019ll add two essential books for Steiner-Waldorf teachers. Robin Cook\u2019s new translation of The Legend of Parzival<\/em><\/a> (May) retells this classic and meaningful story, ideal for Class 8 and above.<\/p>\n

A must-read for those teaching geometry,\u00a0String, Straight-edge and Shadow<\/a><\/em> is an engaging, illustrated book that weaves history and legend to tell the history of the subject (June).<\/p>\n

Look out for an important addition to the Karl K\u00f6nig Archive in May. The Spirit of Camphill: Birth of a Movement<\/a><\/em> (Volume 18) explains the guiding principles behind the Camphill movement in K\u00f6nig\u2019s own words.<\/p>\n

<\/h3>\n

Parenting and Child Development<\/h3>\n

Last, but certainly not least, is our latest book on Parenting and Child Development. Child behaviour expert Christiane Kutik explains how to instill twelve essential qualities – including self-esteem and compassion – in your children, in Parenting with Values<\/a><\/em> (March).<\/p>\n

I\u2019m sure you\u2019ll agree that our Spring and Summer catalogue<\/a> has something for everyone. And, of course, we\u2019ll have even more books to add to your collection later in the year!<\/p>\n
