Find more organic recipes and other celebrations of Organic Month on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.florisbooks.co.uk\/blog\/\">Floris blog<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Almond biscuits<\/h4>\n<p><em>Once you eat these almond biscuits, you\u2019ll never want to eat any other kind!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Makes 40 biscuits (cookies)<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-3691\" src=\"http:\/\/www.florisbooks.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/almonds-204x300.jpg\" alt=\"Almond Biscuits - almond illustration\" width=\"204\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.florisbooks.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/almonds-204x300.jpg 204w, https:\/\/www.florisbooks.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/almonds.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 204px) 100vw, 204px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 170\u00b0 C (340\u00b0 F).<\/p>\n<p>200 g (7 oz) butter<br \/>\n100 g (1\/2 cup) brown sugar<br \/>\n85 g (1 cup) almonds, finely ground<br \/>\n300 g (2 cups) wholewheat flour<br \/>\n1 egg, beaten<br \/>\n1 tsp vanilla essence (extract)<br \/>\na pinch of salt<br \/>\nicing sugar (powdered sugar)<\/p>\n<p>1. Mix all the ingredients except the icing sugar, and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour.<br \/>\n2. Separate the dough into two. Roll each part into a long sausage 3\u20134 cm (1\u20131 1\/2 in) thick, then cut into 1 cm (1\/2 in) pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and squeeze so the bottom is flat and the top is round.<br \/>\n3. Oil tray and place the balls on it. Bake for 15 minutes.<br \/>\n4.
