Reviews

'An excellent and really well written novel that hooks the reader from the first page. The tension slowly rises as the story twists and turns, keeping the reader guessing until the final dénouement. Characters are well developed, the plot is clever, dialogue is sharp and authentic and skilfully blends the text with tweets and social media emoticons. This is a fresh, contemporary thriller which realistically captures the perspectives and lives of modern teenagers – wanting to be popular, desperate to be seen, bombarded by the media and obsessed with living their lives on social media, with no thought to the consequences. I loved it and couldn’t put it down!'
-- Annie Everall, Armadillo

'Between the Lies is a labyrinth of secrets and half-truths [...] A compelling story that will leave you guessing right up to the final page.'
-- Beth Goodyear, The Scotsman

"This is the Gone Girl for young adults. Abbie is thrown into the media spotlight when she supposedly receives a text from a school friend who has gone missing. Initially applauded as a hero, opinion turns viciously against her as the lies she has told begin to surface. The author cleverly has you sympathising with our flawed anti hero as her fellow pupils use social media to make her suffer & suffer she does. Just brilliant writing with twists & turns that have you grasping for the elusive truth."
-- Lara Mieduniecki, Blackwell's Edinburgh

"I never saw the ending coming… An intriguing book, perfect for its intended audience."
-- Artistic Bent
